Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Newel in Athens, I appreciated the thoughtful design and amenities provided. The hotel, nestled in a charming residential neighborhood, features soundproofed rooms with ample comfort, including a kitchenette ideal for families or longer stays. I found the beds exceptionally comfortable, essential after a long journey. The terrace offered a delightful breakfast experience, combining both indoor and outdoor seating. The breakfast selection was fresh and substantial, reflecting care in catering to guest needs. the hotel provides free Wi-Fi, essential for planning further travels. While the service was accommodating, particularly with the late night airport shuttle I used, there were minor quirks, like the television not being pre-programmed-a detail that is easily rectified. The Newel shines in providing a balance of luxury and practical value. It's a solid choice for travelers seeking a comfortable base in Athens, offering a reasonable alternative compared to traditional luxury hotels.
